It was fall of 2005, I had just entered as a 9th grader, and I didn’t feel like doing anything. My first period class was Communication Skills and I passed it with ease. 3rd period was different because I had World History and my brother told me that I wouldn’t like the teacher. She taught this class like it was an ACP class, and I was keeping up until it got boring. I started not doing my work, and I slept all day. I failed the class with a 60. Next semester, I had 3 credits, and it was alright. I had Algebra 1b and the first thing I did was go to sleep. I slept for the rest of the year and because of that I didn’t know how to do algebra and I failed it again next year. Physical science was the hardest class I had as a freshman. I was never good with equations. When I asked the teacher if I could use the bathroom she said no. I told her I was not going to do my work, and she said that’s on my grade. I wasn’t thinking, stopped working, and failed the class. I wish I didn’t do those things because it messed up my credits and now I’m taking the classes again to graduate on time. I wish that I could start over I do my work and everything.
What you can learn form this is not to mess up your years at Cedar Shoals or at any other high school you go to. Do your work non-stop. If you get stuck on something, don’t give up and stay quiet. If you get in the mood that you don’t have to do it, that’s how you mess up. Always ask questions if you don’t understand and teachers will help you until you get it. Always listen to the teacher because most of the time they are right. Try not to pick a class that you know you not going to pass; pick one you are going to pass. Come to class every day and when you leave high school, you should be able to remember every thing you learned from the teacher.

I copletely agree. I'm a senior in highchool, and I'm so grateful and proud that I stayed focus, especially in core classes. In contrasst my peers seem to be failing. Some of them have dropped out and others have no choice but to become fifth or sixth year seniors. it's sad because i they can't simply get out of high school,it's obvious they're not going to make it if they desire to go to a college or university.
ReplyDeletegood job. i understand this because i did the same thing but realized what i had to do
ReplyDeletei to agree on to what sharifa said because you do not want to stay here and become a ancient fossil.
ReplyDeleteI agree!! Because im n tha same condition...10 grader with 9 grade credit
ReplyDeleteI agree with this blog. Because it tells me to focus on my work in school to get the good grades I need. The blog sounds very honest, the writer of the blog told a very sincere story about his high school experience. I can say so, because I know a lot of people came to high school, messed up and were stuck with things they cant do just like Adonis.
