Okay freshmen’s well when I first came to Cedar Shoals I didn’t care about school I came to school just to hang out with my friends and sleep. I was rude to the teachers and didn’t follow their rules. Sometimes I used to just walk out of class and wonder around the halls until the bell rang to go to my next class. I wanted to join the soccer team but with the credits I had that was impossible. I remember failing the class and not getting worried, Thinking that later on in the semester I would start working hard and turning in my work, but when I did that I still ended up failing the class because my grade was to low to raise it up, so I wasn’t able to join the soccer team. After failing so many classes and getting in trouble by the teachers I got tired of it and started putting more effort on my classes. My counselor started sending me to her room 2 days a week to help me out on what I needed help with. She advised me on passing my classes and started telling me the good things about education. Also another teacher made up conferences with my parents and me. We talked about what I wanted to do in my future and what I had to do in order to be able to get the succeed in life.
I don’t want this to happen to any of the freshmen’s that come to this school next year or the years after. If they need help on something they can ask other people that they see around or the teacher b/c if they do the same thing that I did then they will be struggling to get their credits when they get closer to graduating. They should always keep in their minds that there is nothing better then education. With an education you can be anything you want to be in this world.
